The charging automat picks up the loaded grids from the loading tables and will put the grids into the rotary hearth hardening furnace after weighing.

After heating up to the hardening temperature we have a choice of quenching in water, or hardening oil or in a air quenching unit. Followed by the tempering process in the tempering rotary hearth furnace. The central arranged charging automat will cover all positions.

The biggest advantage of this newly designed heat treatment plant arrangement is the bumpless and dropless transfer of the parts in the hot phase. Mechanical deformation of the parts cannot occur. This new heat treatment plant meets the highest requirements of efficiency, minimal environmental pollution and quality control.

Alternative the use as BY-Rotary hearth furnace for the isothermal perlite convertion of work pieces out of the forging/rolling production.

BY-treatment is the controlled cooling down of forging/roll mill parts out of the deformation heat. Target of the BY-treatment is achieving of an uniform and defined grain condition, which complies with the application consistency and/or optimum machinability in serial production processes.

The BY-treatment first of all is used with the drop forging pieces and roll mill pieces for the car and truck industry for the gear and shaft parts. The BY-treatment can replace the classic heat treatment processes like quench and temper, normalising and BG-heat treatment.

A further use as rotary hearth furnace can be seen in rotary hearth forging furnaces. Here the billets of various sizes are heated up to forging temperature. The billets are placed directly onto or picked up from the rotary hearth floor by means of a charging roboter unit. According to the requirements the furnace is equiped with one or two doors.
